Sarah’s 2018 Favourites

Still seems incredible to me that 2018 is over – where did that go? We like to do monthly favourites but it’s always good to lookback on our favourites from the year. So Sam has already shared hers and here are mine;

Wax Lyrical Japanese Cherry Blossom Reed Diffuser Oil

I bloomin’ love this stuff and it’s featured in my favourites this year. I absolutely love the smell and it really lasts and I grab it in bulk when it’s on discount in Dunelm!

Eylure Fluttery Lashes (170)

2018 was definitely the year that I started to use lashes more and I straight away tried some Eylure ones as I’d heard they were good. I’ve tried so many of the different styles but I really love the fluttery ones as they don’t make me look overdone and are more natural. I love how they flick out at the ends and that goes so well with my eyeliner flick too!

Sanctuary Spa 1 Minute Daily Glow Mask

I got hooked on this straight away a couple of months ago. It’s formed part of my regular skincare routine now. I love how soft it leaves my skin and it really does make my primer and then make up sit on my face nicer. Love it so much that I keep getting the samples of it too for traveling.

Vera Wang Princess

We both love this scent and we are also both hooked on all the variations that have been released too. I still find this one is the one I reach for on the days when I can’t decide what scent to use. It always makes me think of good things and memories and I love smelling it on my scarf too. It also scents my hair too – I do that ‘spray and walk under it’ hack and it’s great for making the scent last.

Alfredo’s Cafe from La Montaña Candles

I have written about La Montaña Candles before and I do like coffee based scents. I started bulk buying this when I could see it in TKMaxx and I think I’ve got at least 3 left. It’s such a great scent, if you like the smokier and darker scents then this is great for you. It’s one of the scents that I’ve been most complimented on in the home last year.

Garnier Skin Active Tissue Masks

I love all of these and I do regularly grab these when I see them on offer. All of the do give me such a great instant facial lift and they improve my skin for a good couple of days after use too.

Sanctuary Spa Cleansing Oil

I find this quite hard to actually find unless I was buying online. Then Superdrug got the Sanctuary Spa stuff and now I can pick this up on the high street. It really melts make up away and you don’t need much at all. I have such oily skin at times and for years (and years and years) I would never have considered using an oil on my face. So wrong! It really helps to balance my skin out and doesn’t cause breakouts, like I thought it might.

COLAB Dry Shampoo – Unicorn

After trying out COLAB dry shampoo’s I wouldn’t try any others. They don’t leave my hair with any residue and they just do what they should. I love the unicorn one though because it smells incredible! Featured in my favourites here.

Oriflame The One 5 in 1 mascara

Another one that has been mentioned in my favourites but it has been repurchased and I will probably need to get another one soon. It really boosts up my lashes and I know using the Eylure lashes should be enough but my own lashes still need to be tamed. On the days when I don’t want to wear my Eylure lashes, this is enough to make my lashes look great. Because I can’t always be bothered to do my fake ones. Also this brush is great for your lower lashes!

Schwarzkopf Dry Oil Mist Spray

Much like putting oil on my face, I never would have thought about spraying it into my hair. I do have a bit of an oily scalp at times but this has really helped with my thick hair and I now will bulk buy it. Although I wish it came in a travel size as it’s pretty big to take with me on trips!
