Hasn’t it suddenly got cold this week!? I’ve definitely been enjoying every opportunity to snuggle in the warmth. Not so keen on dragging the pup out on these colder days now but I’m sure he’ll get used to it again. Maybe I will too.
It’s time for some more faves and here’s my choices. There’s a lot of products I’ve been using for ages and some new things too.
First of here’s a little write up about them. Also includes an offer to be sent some of their scented fragrance cards for free! Absolutely love their choice of scents.
I’d seen loads of people posting about their Freddie’s Flowers and I’d never signed up because I really wasn’t sure how it worked. People were giving away their free code which would give me free flowers? Surely there was a catch. So far, I’ve not found one. The Maya waxflowers from my bouquet lasted almost two weeks and the flowers are normally £22 but I got my first delivery for free. No P&P, completely free. The flowers arrived on the day I had specified and I asked for them to be put into my porch as I wasn’t going to be in all day.
They arrived before 9am and were a lovely surprise as I opened the door to go out on the school run. It was the quickest ‘run’ to school as I wanted to come back and see what I had. There was a lovely guide to the flowers I had received and an instruction guide to follow for how to arrange them. Who knew that one of my flower arrangement errors was to use the wrong style of vases! Lesson learned. Here is a photo of the flowers I received, those waxflowers have really lasted a long time!
Now I can control my flower deliveries, so I’ve selected to be sent flowers every 3 weeks as it’s a nice treat to receive them and also get a bit of flower arranging practice in 😉
I also have a free code if you want your own free flowers which is – SarahP8889. You will then get your own free flowers and I also get another free box too. Free flowers for everyone! If you just want to take the free flowers code and then cancel your account afteryou’ve received them, then just contact them to cancel. Or you can control your frequency of your deliveries like I am doing. It’s up to you. Sign up (includes code) www.freddiesflowers.com/r/SarahP8889
I was looking for a new blusher and then I got one in the last Glossybox. I’m a big fan of Sleek products and this has been my go-to blusher ever since it arrived. At first I was a little nervous because I have a tendency to use too much of a creme based product and didn’t want to end up with rosy cheeks! A little amount definitely goes a long way and it lasted a lot longer than my normal blusher was.
Boots Extra Strength Nail Polish Remover Fingers and Toes Pot
I’ll admit I do normally use whatever remover is on offer in the pound stores or similar. But I’d tried a few of these dip and twist pots before but with little success but a friend recommended this pot to me. I liked that there was a separate remover for the toes in the lid of the pot. I have found the pot doesn’t need much twisting and it’s even removed glitter nail paint with more ease than varnish and cotton wool. It’s going to be ideal as my glitter nails increase between now and January. Also my daughter will be using it I’m sure.
Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvenating Facial Serum
This is my second of these and I’m absolutely in love with it. I love so many of Soap and Glory’s products and this is one that I always return to and I always use it when my skin goes haywire hormonal once a month. I only need one pump to get it across my face and neck so it lasts and lasts. The packaging means that I can’t see how much is left so I have to notice it getting lighter… I’ve had my next one waiting for two months now, haha! It’s good to do it this way so that you can grab it on offer.
I sometimes use it instead of a primer too.
Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Cleansing Oil
There was a time when the last thing I’d ever want to put on my face would be anything oil based. How times have changed. This was another product that was recommended to me after I posted about these Sanctuary Spa products. I’ve only needed to use one pump and I’ve found it works great with these cleansing mitts. It’s been great for removing makeup and even my eye makeup, including waterproof mascara. It also proved very helpful in removing some very stubborn halloween face paint…
Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara
I have been a big lover of Maybelline mascara’s for a very long time. Their Lash Sensational one is a huge favourite of mine because the waterproof version really keeps me happy during my hayfever period.
With hayfever season over I thought I’d try something new and went with the Colossal Big Shot as I’d seen that it worked well with shorter lashes. I really notice a difference using it and it separates lashes well and doesn’t make them clumpy. It’s going to be my non-hayfever mascara now haha.
Nyx Professional Makeup Ultimate shadow palette – Smokey
I know everyone has been talking (and buying) the NYX brights palette but I knew I was on much safer ground with this one. I don’t care much for the top row of the nude type colours but they work as a good base. I absolutely adore the glittery silver and bronze/gold. But it’s the purples that make my heart sing. The pigmentation is absolutely perfect too. For a smokey palette this is perfect for creating your smokey eyes. The only one I’ve not used much of is the green, maybe I can use it for Christmas.
I have used a few fan brushes for my highlight and it’s just never worked for me. I gave this one a try and I absolutely love it. It’s really good quality too and I’ve started to buy their eyeshadow brushes now too.
Autumn Sunshine by Kiss Air Candles
As you know I’m a BIG Kiss Air Candles fan and have featured them before in my favourites. They sent me their Autumn Sunshine scent in one of their new glass jars which has a gorgeous autumn detailing on it.
Bask in the aroma of this creamy and indulgent limited edition Autumn Sunshine scent with top notes of caramelised amber and honeyed sweet white musks. Softly spiced pink peppercorns and a gentle wisp of geranium stems lead into a base of warm patchouli and buttery Madagascan vanilla pods to complete this scent making it the perfect autumn candle.
This has been a real family favourite and my other half likes it too. There’s a lot of mandle aspects to this which is always a winner. Just as an aside from this scent, their Cinnamon scent in this glass jar is on offer for November for £7.50. Perfect for Christmas!
Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder
I think I’ve found the ultimate face powder! I have combination skin so I need help with controlling the t-zone for sure BUT I also have an absolute love and need for highlighter and all the glowiness. Powders have tended to matte out the glow factor on me but solved my t-zone problem. This powder controls my t-zone and keeps my makeup looking good all day AND it doesn’t mask over the glow. It’s amazing and much like the serum above, you don’t need much and I’ve had this a few months now and I am nowhere near ‘hitting pan’ yet.
