Yes To Carrots Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Oh my scalp, it’s crazy, it has a mind of it’s own. Let me give you a brief history…

Since I was about 11, I’ve had an itchy, flaky scalp. My parents weren’t ones to really care about what products we used so I was always stuck with no-name, cheap, crappy shampoos. Yeah, they may work for some people but not for me.
Basically I spent next maybe six years, scratching my head raw, waking up with blood stains on my pillow, and being embarrassed by the flakes all over my clothes.
When I was in a position to buy my own products, I never knew what to get and couldn’t really afford to spend a lot on shampoo or conditioner. So I still had my scalp issues.

I started dying my hair, my first year in college and I noticed that every time time I dyed it (using permanent store bought dyes) that I wouldn’t have any scalp problems for about a month or until my roots started growing out. It was as if the dyes were burning off my evil, itchy scalp and it was such sweet relief after years of torment.

So I became addicted to dying which inevitably damaged my hair, a lot!

I’m 30 now and early last year I started using non permanent dyes (specifically a Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Auburn shade that lasts about 24 washes I think). It was completely by accident that I got a non permanent dye, but it was totally meant to be.
I LOVED the colour and my hair felt so much softer. So I continued using it and now dye my hair about every two months. The only problem was, my scalp started to go crazy again.

I tried a bunch of shampoos and conditioners, mostly designed for sensitive/itchy scalp, but was finding that about half way through bottles I’d have to start using something else.

So, I have dry hair and a really itchy, sensitive scalp and I found that any products designed for an itchy, sensitive scalp, dried out my hair even more and that any products aimed at dry hair, made my scalp issues flare up. I couldn’t catch a break.

I tried many “natural” shampoos and conditioners and didn’t notice any difference with my hair or scalp.
After being really impressed with their skincare products, I tried Yes To Coconut Ultra Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, but actually I didn’t love them, I didn’t hate them either but they just weren’t what I needed.
Last month I bought the Yes To Carrots Scalp Relief Shampoo and Conditioner and was like “you had me at scalp relief!”

Yes To Carrots Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Yes To Carrots Shampoo and Conditioner are clinically proven to soothe dry and flaky scalps. They’re formulated with a combination of carrots, tea Tree and lemon to help protect the scalp and the conditioner has light-moisturising cypress oils that won’t weigh the hair down. They’re 95% natural, free from parabens, SLS and Phthalates
and are cruelty-free.

I wash my hair every two to three days and I noticed such a big difference after about a week of using these products. My hair was soft and shiny and my scalp was behaving itself.

Now I’m on my second batch (never been able to say that) of Yes To Carrots Shampoo and Conditioner and everything is going great! Touch wood it stays that way.

I’d highly recommend these products to anyone who has scalp issues. My only complaint is the scent, it’s not the nicest of aromas, but it ain’t the worst. Given the natural ingredients I can see why it smells the way it does, but hey, I shouldn’t be complaining, after nearly 20 years of scalp issues, I’m a very happy bunny.

Have you tried Yes To products before? Any recommendations? Let us know in a comment below.
