Pommes Frites Candle Co. is a small batch candle company based in Los Angeles, run by wife and husband team Kristen Pumphrey & Thomas Neuberger. All of their candles are made using domestically grown soy wax, cotton core wicks, fine fragrance oils, and apothecary inspired packaging. Jars are finished off with a simple label and brass lid. Each candle is hand poured, packaged, and shipped in the P.F. Los Angeles studio.
The scent description of Amber & Moss says…“Mossy and clean right out of the jar, this fragrance’s base of musk and amber evokes a damp, wooded forest floor layered with soft oakmoss. A hint of lavender and an infusion of sage and orange essential oils brighten up this earthy scent.”
I thought the candle had a very masculine and seductive scent, just imagine what John Stamos (or someone just as dreamy) smells like….mmmmm heavenly.
You could DEFINITELY smell the musk and amber on a cold smell and the sage and orange came through when burning. I don’t like lavender at all and am quite sensitive to it but luckily I couldn’t get any lavender from this candle, for me that’s a good thing but if you like lavender, trust me you’re not missing anything, the candle is still fabulous.
I was really impressed with my candle, it had a great scent throw and burned perfectly and cleanly, even himself commented on it! You know it’s gotta be good when a man notices it, especially one who lives with a crazy candle lady and her hoards of wax products. 😛
I’ve read great things about the P.F. Candle Co. and after trying one of their candles I WANT MORE! Apple Picking, Teakwood & Tobacco, Sweet Grapefruit and Campfire…they all sound insanely good and I’m gonna need them STAT!
