We’ve dabbled with aromatherapy here before on V&L and I’ve always been a fan of natural alternatives so we decided heck why not bring another element to our site. But if we’re gonna do it then we’re gonna do it right; so I’ve started doing a few courses so that I may gain better knowledge of aromatherapy and essential oils and be able to share with and advise you on what scents are good for what and any other handy information I might find out. If something that smells good can make you feel better, I’m gonna find out all about it and tell you. I’m super excited y’all!
To join us on our new adventure with aromatherapy and essential oils is the Essential Oil Quality Alliance. Quality is self evident. That is the motto of the EOQA. They are committed to supplying their customers with the best quality and the best prices for essential oils and they’ll be supplying us with essential oils to try out and help us learn more.
Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being.
First up is Spearmint Oil.
Spearmint oil has a refreshing, minty and clean aroma. A recent study found that smelling spearmint improves your concentration levels and will invigorate you.
Spearmint oil is often used in aromatherapy to help treat fatigue, headaches, migraines, nervousness and even digestive problems. I personally like to use Spearmint oil because of its antispasmodic properties, it can help relieve muscle pain and even abdominal pain from cramps.
Here are some of our favourite spearmint candles and home fragrance products.

We hope the uplifting aroma will benefit you has much as it has us.
