I’ve never been a lover of soap, even fancy or expensive handmade ones. I’ve usually either thought they were poorly made or had a bad reaction to them, plus I’ve never liked the feeling of my skin after using them, it’d feel extra tight and dry. So when Soapy Skin Ltd contacted me about doing a review, I was a bit nervous, but after reading all about their award winning Honey Oats Goats Milk Soap (it won the Janey Loves Platinum Award last year and quite recently it won a Silver Award in the Problem Skin Category from Free From Skincare), I was intrigued. I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything made from goat’s milk so I was curious as to how my sensitive skin would handle it.
I have to confess these were such a random and “yeah I’ll give them a go” throw into my basket on a recent shop into Primark. The packaging told me that the mitts would remove make up with only water… hmm. Wasn’t convinced but I was intrigued and I know a lot of high street brands have launched or are launching something similar.
First of all they are white and I try to avoid wearing white, I have a set of white towels that I never use because there’s every chance that some fake tan from weeks ago could suddenly appear on them. I’m messy and I don’t mean to be so I avoid white. But of course these mitts need to be white because of what you’ll see on them… Read More
I’d never even heard of Latest In Beauty until I saw a random unboxing on YouTube, so I checked it out and there was such an amazing choice of products, I couldn’t not try it out.
If you haven’t tried it it yet, basically how it works is you choose 3, 6 or 9 of your favourite products to try each month, all with free delivery, so you know exactly which and how many products you receive. Your first month’s subscription will come in a gorgeous limited edition make up bag which is chic and reduces unnecessary packaging – win-win!
I was so happy when mine arrived, I mean look at that cute pink packaging and you get a free card print with it, and being a huge Disney / fairy tale fan I really loved the one I was sent, I’m gonna frame it and put it in my office.
The travel bag that all my products were in is amazing quality and the perfect size for all the necessities I “need” to bring when travelling.
So what products did I choose?
I have been a huge fan of Aldi’s face creams for many years now. I was never lucky enough to time my Aldi shop with there being any of their serums in stock in my local store. I’ve definitely become more of a serum lover as I hit my mid-thirties and spotted that my skin needed more of a drink than it used to.
Early April I finally managed to get my hands on the Aldi Lacura Expert Beautifying Serum and I’ve not looked back since! You’ll spot in the photo that I was all ready getting my “blogger head” on and using seasonal flowers to take a photo with the serum. The thing is the serum became such a great product for me that I kinda forgot about it… it became habit.
It’s my turn this month to do my favourites and this was in my list but it really does deserve a mention all of its own. Read More
I’ve never tried ColourPop MakeUp before but when Jeffree Star reviewed their ILUVSARAHII X ColourPop Chic-Y & $aucey Pressed Powder Palettes, I was like GIIIIIRRRRRRRL that purple palette was made for me! I was so happy to see someone doing a colourful palette, I’m getting so sick of neutral palettes all over everywhere.
I was browsing around ColourPop for a while and I signed up for their newsletter and was given a discount code, they also had a Raid The Mini Bar offer where when you spend $20 you get to choose a mini satin lip sampler from their mini bar, so I basically had to do a bit of a haul. Then for every additional $10 you could pick another mini satin lip sampler, so I ended up being able to pick five! Now y’all know your girl isn’t big into lip products so I chose three for me and two for Sarah. Check out the goodies I got…
