I absolutely adore Yankee Candle’s Garden Sweet Pea, it’s my favourite go to candle for any mood. I love it all year round and it has one of those smells that just instantly makes me smile and feel at home. Whilst doing some candle shopping (as we do!) I came across the Woodwick Wild Sweet Pea. We love our wax tarts here at Vanilla&Lime HQ so I followed suit with their wax melts.
Cucumber&Aloe – I know y’all know I don’t like banana or lavender but one other scent (and food) I hate is cucumber, so I sorta panicked when I saw that Trish had sent me a Cucumber&Aloe scented tart, but honestly it was fabulous! The aloe really changed the scent and it made me feel like I was in a spa. It was light and refreshing and very uplifting. Highly recommend this scent.
Cinnamon Red Hots – I love cinnamon and I just adored this melt, it lasted days and days, I think maybe because cinnamon is just naturally a strong scent, but probably because it was so well made.
Luscious Lemon Poundcake – This was one of the first scents I ever tried from the M&C and I remember loving it but I genuinely forgot how delicious it smelled till I got it again. Tart lemon, sweet vanilla and buttery cakey yumminess, it’s heavenly.
Waffle Cone – Sooooo delicious, sweet and yummy! Smells like a classic cookie wafer made with creamy butter and vanilla swirled through it.
My bad for not taking pics as they were melting, but trust me they were all amazing and well made. Milk&Cookies candles have an unbelievable scent throw and they never cease to amaze me with all the unique scents and fabulous products.
If you haven’t guessed already, I’m a massive Milk&Cookie Candle Company fan, they’ve sent us products to review but I actually buy from them as well. My candle cupboard was looking a little bare so I knew I had to stock up on some tarts…
Pineapple Upside Down Cake – I’m currently on a cherry/pineapple kick, and I love making Pineapple Upside Down Cake for my boyfriend so I knew I had to get this one. It super pineapple-y but has a hint of vanilla buttery cake-iness, very very yummy!
Vanilla Supreme – Like a rich real vanilla, super creamy ice-cream. I’ve been using this in the warmer in my bedroom, it’s a really comforting scent, perfect for bedtime.
Cherry Cheesecake – This scent is unreal, it’s exactly like Cherry Cheesecake and you can smell every layer of the scent; the buttery biscuit base, the tart and sweet creamy cheese filling and then the yummy cherry topping.Delicious.
Blue Hawaiian – This is my ultimate happy scent! It a mixture of Coconut, Maraschino Cherry and Pineapple, three scents that I just love all mixed together. It’s really uplifting and I highly recommend it.
Cherry Cola – See I told you I was on a cherry kick at the moment. I’d never tried this scent before but I was super intrigued by it. I was pleasantly surprised, it smells like cola gummy bottles and cherry candies. Just another scent I wanted to eat LOL.
Patchouli – I surprised Trish when I requested this scent, cause y’all know I’m not crazy
about floral scents, but I ordered a set of Patchouli melts for my Mom, cause it’s her favourite scent. She was so surprised when I sent it and said it was fabulous!
The Milk&Cookie Candle Company’s melting cubes are amazing, you only need one and the scents are so long lasting! If you haven’t tried their products, what are you waiting for?!
Sam gave me this ages ago… it was sat in my candle box for months before I had a proper root in that box and was like “what are you doing in here?” The packet then sat on the table by the front door ready to go into my car the next time I went out. Yeah. That didn’t happen. Anyway a week or so passed and I have been so happy with our new home, we’ve been living here for two years now but it still feels so new. I like that feeling. I obviously have worked on different ways of fragrancing our house, it is mainly open plan so it can prove difficult.
But the room I struggled most with was the family bathroom. I hate overpowering scents but I wanted something that had enough smell but I didn’t want the boys to hate it. That is quite a task, believe me! I had tried many pot pourri efforts (and is it just me or do they not smell for long any more?) and also I had lit some candles before we had visitors to make it smell lovely. But I wanted something a bit more everyday and something I didn’t need to tend to. So I grabbed the air freshener from the table downstairs and hung it over the window handle. It was a complete guess as to whether this would work, it did! Read More
