I do pop into Primark quite a bit, at least once a week. I spend my time mostly regretting taking the kids with me as I have a look around what’s new. We follow Primark on our Instagram pages for added inspiration to visit. Here’s my latest homeware wants (and needs!) Read More
Today is Vanilla & Lime’s 4th Birthday! We can’t believe it. 😀 The years have flown in and we’re so amazed and humbled by how far we’ve come, by all the wonderful brands we’ve worked with and by all the friends we’ve made along the way.
So let’s celebrate! To thank you, all our fabulous readers, we doing a HUGE BIRTHDAY GIVEAWAY, with lots of great prizes for lots of lucky winners!
So what could you win?
In case you didn’t know already, we’re HUGE Flamingo Candles fans here at V&L. We’re so lucky to get products to review but that doesn’t stop us from buying heaps of stuff from them.
They recently launched their WILD Collection, inspired by cool things from the 90s and whilst we’re not big fans of their new Dewberry scent and I know for sure I wouldn’t like their White Musk scent, Lemon Alcopop and Strawberry Millions were like made for me and the funky packaging just screams my name.
Now if only we could get body glitter gel, Baby G watches and tiny butterfly hair clips back in fashion. 😛

Sarah Lou Ltd. is based in the UK and I’m based in Ireland which can mean expensive shipping costs for both parties, so having recently just signed up to AddressPal with An Post (the Irish postal system) I decided to try that out. Basically what it is is, if you live in Ireland and want to purchase from the UK they give you a UK address to use, your shopping gets delivered there and then brought to Ireland and you collect it at your local post office. It costs €3.50 per package, which you pay upon collection, and really that’s nothing compared to regular post or couriers.
So I gave it a go. Sarah Lou sent me a tracking number for the courier she uses and it showed that my package arrived at the UK address I was given this past Friday, then on Tuesday morning I got a text saying my package was ready for collection at my local post office. I was so shocked! It only took three working days!
So if you’re in Ireland and love online shopping than I can’t recommend this service enough, and no this post is not sponsored. I just want everyone to have nice things and not get screwed over on shipping expenses. I’m so happy I’ll be able to buy so many nice things from Sarah Lou all the time now. 🙂
So what did I buy?
Ever since we tried Bunny Kisses from Flamingo Candles (you can read that review HERE) myself and Sarah have been on a bit of a rhubarb kick. I’ve never really even eaten rhubarb but since that candle I’ve been wanting rhubarb everything.
As Bunny Kisses was just limited edition for Easter (boo hoo hoo!) we thought we’d do a round up of some rhubarb candles that we’d personally recommend or would love to try…
Rhubarb Scented Candle by Lily-Flame – Rhubarb (and of course custard!) Yum yum, Yummy yum. And so on. This is lovely! The fresh crisp notes of Rhubarb complement the smooth sweetness of good old fashioned custard. It’s delicious!
