Sarah’s July Favourites

Hasn’t it been hot…

Damn, I said I wouldn’t mention the heat.

So anyway, it seems like we are all (around the world) having 500 billion degree temperatures* and we are all desperately trying not to moan about it, right?!

Sarah's July Favourites

I’ve not got a load of favourites really this month as everything has been minimal in this heat;

Schwarzkopf Beach Matt Texturising Salt Spray

My main hair “do” in the heat has been scraped up into a bun but when I’ve needed to jazz it up a bit for evenings out etc I love to use this to give myself a bit of a beach wave boost. I am lucky to have a wave to my hair but this really helps to oomph it.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Gradual Tan

I have managed to get quite the garden tan this summer (hence the photo above which was taken outside, I’m living in the garden mostly) but with this new tan, I seem to have only tanned the front of my legs so grabbed this so I could wear shorts without my legs having stripes!! It is really good and after two uses I had achieved to lose my stripe – yaaassssss! I have used this with a self tan mitt because I did get slightly orange palms, even though I had washed my hands straight away after. So be careful! Smells amazing too.

NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow pencil

My makeup recently has been so minimal and it’s been great and to be honest my  skin has been really happy with it. One thing I must do is my brows and I’ve been using this NYX pencil for a few months now and it really is now my favourite. I like that it’s more of natural tones to the colours but you can build the colour up if you need to.

Argan Oil Moisturising Hair Mask

I picked this up in Poundland as it’s a big tub and I love that I can use it and leave it on for hours. I’ve used this at least once a week in the hot weather, no one has noticed when I’ve had my hair scraped back that I’ve got it on. It’s really kept my hair in good condition this summer which has been great. I still have my humidity hair moments but not as bad!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer

I know people have raved about this for a while but I had a load of various concealers so never bought one. Then I realised that most (all) of the concealers that I had were getting a bit yucky so I got one. Oh it’s good. I’ve used this without a foundation and it’s given me enough coverage and covered those dark eye circles – these hot summer nights.

Oriflame The One 5 in 1 mascara

I got this in my Glossybox last month and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. It really gives my lashes a superb curl and flick. The brush has smaller bristles on one side which is great for doing lower lashes but also for getting the product through your upper lashes. The longer bristles on the other side really give it definition. I don’t normally like these kind of brushes – but this one won me over!

It’s also currently on offer so I’m going to get another!

Wax Lyrical Japanese Cherry Blossom Reed Diffuser Oil

I love Dunelm at the moment and I love noseying around the home fragrance section. I am particularly fussy with reed diffuser smells as I don’t like any linen or overly floral scents. But… this Cherry Blossom scent is really lovely and it’s currently in our bathroom and en-suite too. It’s not too floral and not a sickly sweet cherry, it’s a balance between.

I also got the fake peony from Dunelm too (pictured).

Other than that;

I’ve enjoyed watching Love Island, Lucky Man and started Harrow.

There’s a few books that I’ve read but I’ll put them into one blog post at the end of the summer.

What have you all been loving recently?
