Sam’s July Favourites

July was a crazy month, I had so much to do and so much planned, it was just manic, but it was wonderful too as it was my birthday month, which meant lots of cake and presents. YAY!

I have quite a few favourites this month but they’re all epic!

Bee Good Youth Enhancing Lift & Brighten Eye Cream – I got a small tube of this from Latest In Beauty a while back, I used it for a little while and then forgot about it. But when I started using it again I quickly realised the difference it had been making to my eye area, so I treated myself to a full-size bottle of it. It’s great for tired puffy eyes, is super hydrating, and is an amazing base for concealers and eye makeup. I love the scent of it and a little bit goes a long way. Definitely my new favourite eye cream.

Bee Good Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm – When I was buying my Bee Good eye cream, the site I was on had a deal on, like spend a certain amount get a free gift, so I decided to try out this lip balm. Now, this was definitely just purchased to get the free gift, cause I’m so loyal to my NUXE Reve de Miel lip balm, but when I tried it, I was like “uh oh, I think NUXE have some competition!”  😛  This glides on beautifully, is really nourishing and moisturising, plus it tastes and smells real yum. I’ve been using this one as a daily lip balm, as it has a nice glossy sheen to it and then my NUXE one at night time. I’ve the softest lips ever now.

Paddywax Fig & Olive Candle – You know how much I love masculine aromas, well this is probably the sexiest mandle type fragrance I’ve ever had. It’s a really deep, dark and mysterious scent, there’s so much to it. You can read my full review HERE.

Jacobs Caffé Di Milano Biscuits – I was craving something chocolatey and wafery and my other half, who’s just the bestest ever, bought me these, all three kinds as well! They’re ever so decadent, rich creamy fillings and crispy wafers, so freakin yummy! The vanilla kind is definitely my favourite but they’re all really tasty.

Caudalie Moisturizing Mask – This stuff, oh jeez, seriously one of the greatest products ever! I got a small tube of it in a subscription box and had it in my stash of skincare products for a while, I decided to use it one night when my skin was extra dry. At first, it just seemed like a thick moisturiser and I didn’t think too much of it, but I left it on over night and woke up with pretty much brand new skin. My skin had never been as soft, nourished and moisturised. Now I’m hooked. I use it twice a week and my skin is glowing!
It says you can leave this on for 15 minutes but honestly, I think that would be such a waste, it’s so much better left on all night.

Jeffree Star Princess Cut Skin Frost – I treated myself to some goodies when Jeffree Star had a sale on his site, I’m absolutely obsessed with his products, they’re amazing, so bright and colourful and so FREAKIN PINK!
I had been wanting a new highlighter for a while but didn’t want anything gold or warm toned, and this cool toned pale pink one with its shimmer finish is extremely pigmented and totally made for me. I’ve been wearing it a lot lately, it’s so buttery and smooth and gives me that fabulous glazed doughnut look.

Noughty Caretaker Scalp Soothing Shampoo & Conditioner – I’m always looking for shampoos and conditioners that help my super sensitive scalp but also de-frizz and tame my crazy mane, I found that these products did both, really well and at a bargain price too. The shampoo is light, soothing and didn’t strip my colour, the conditioner didn’t feel like it was doing much at first but after rinsing and towel drying my hair, it was super easy to brush and a lot less frizzy. I’m really enjoying these and will definitely be trying more of the Noughty products.

Essence Chupa Chups S’peach & Splash Body Spray – I was out shopping with my bestie and we saw the Essence I Want Candy / Chupa Chups collection, it brought back so many memories of our days in school when we like lived on Chupa Chups. My favourites were Green Apple, and Peaches & Cream. I picked up the body spray tester and as soon as I spritzed myself it was like I was 13 again, it smelled exactly like my favourite Peaches & Cream lollipop. I knew I had to have it and at about €3 it was such a bargain. I’ve been wearing it pretty much every day since I got it and everyone always comments on it. It does make me want all the lollipops though.

Fire HD 8 Tablet – I had an iPad something about 4+ years ago, and I didn’t love it, so I sold it, I kinda missed it though as I liked having something to just mess around on, that didn’t have anything work related on it. We had gotten my mother in law a Fire Tablet last Christmas after someone recommended it, and I was floored by it, so on Prime Day when the new Fire HD 8 Tablets with Alexa were HALF PRICE, I couldn’t not get one. I’m so obsessed with it, I’ve mainly been using it to play games, but as someone who’s a workaholic that’s really helped me chill out and relax.

Sneaky Pete – If you’re looking for something to binge watch then you definitely need to watch Sneaky Pete. I won’t give too much away but if you’re still sad about Breaking Bad being over, this definitely makes up for it and Bryan Cranston is pretty scary in it too.
