Wax and Wicks started their own subscription box earlier this month. For £8 a month you get 6 scented soy wax packs, each pack contains 3 mini melts. They were kind enough to send me a box to review and obviously these are my honest opinions.
We’ve written about Wax and Wicks before and you can read all those posts HERE.
I think everyone is aware now of how subscription boxes work. This box easily fits through your letterbox so no need to wait in for it or come home to the red card! You can subscribe by the 1st of every month so no long contract is needed. Boxes are despatched on the 4th – or the next working day after this date.
I could smell the scents as soon as I picked the box up and I was happy to see what was picked inside. Four of the packs inside were their regulars; Toffee Latte, Coconut Cream, Vanilla and Melon & Cucumber. There were also two limited edition scents; Pina Colada and Ocean Mist.
I tried a lot of these but obviously the limited edition scents are new to me. Ocean Mist became an instant winner for me, probably not one I would have chosen for myself but I’ll definitely look out for this. I do like a sea salt type scent and it’s really great for bathrooms too.
I really like the smaller melts for doing some mixology and these are great for that. I had a Toffee Latte, Coconut Cream and Vanilla mix which made my home smell yummy!
Overall, I really liked the scents picked in the box. There’s a good selection of different scent choices and it was good there was a note explaining the limited edition scents. I did feel the box lacked a little wow factor as there was no tissue paper in the box, it all looked a little bland in just the brown box.
For £8 (free P&P) you can see that this is good value. You can sign up to the Melt Box Monthly and they also have a special Facebook page for the box too.
*We were delighted to see that in their promo work for the box that they used one of our photos from a previous review for them 🙂
