Samuel Parris set up shop in 2016 with the idea to develop products which captured an outdoor lifestyle – think woodland, campfires and the coast. A collaboration of artists, adventure seekers and amateur surfers, they’ve spent a lot of time on the road and wanted a product which would serve as a throwback to their travels.
After a lot of late nights and meticulous product refinement, Samuel Parris created their first ‘Hickory & Pine Smoke’ and ‘Sea Salt & Birch’ soy wax candles. Since then they’ve gone onto expand their range to include ‘Oak & Bourbon’, ‘Tobacco & Pepper’ and ‘Vanilla & White Rum’. Each one made by hand and carefully crafted.
Hickory & Pine Smoke – A mixture of burning pines and wood smoke.
Sea Salt & Birch – A fresh, herbaceous, coastal scent.
Oak & Bourbon – An aromatic vintage cologne scent, with warm spices & a hint of cognac.
Tobacco & Pepper – A zesty pink pepper and sweet tobacco concoction.
Vanilla & White Rum – A warm, smokey vanilla scent.
It’s always been their goal to make quality, honest products. Samuel Parris have sourced all of their materials from UK suppliers, mostly from small time businesses just like themselves. Their candles use 100% natural high-grade soy wax and are hand poured in small batches. They also chose to use woodwicks instead of cotton, as they tend to burn longer and give that campfire-esque effect.
