I suffer from Keratosis Pilaris, which is also known as “chicken skin”….Lovely. I’m not gonna bore you with all details about what it is, but for me, it’s red bumps on my upper arms that there’s no treatment for.
If you’d like to read more about it, this article pretty much tells you everything.
I’ve found things that help improve the appearance of my arms, I know that keeping them really moisturized helps, some fake tans hide the bumps really well, and body scrubs are a must.
For me, body scrubs would reduce the red bumps, temporarily, by about 40%, but that’s always been about it. That was until I tried Tigger’s Caffeinated Body Scrub from My Dearly Loved’s Bath & Body range. I had heard great things about this all natural scrub so I was super happy when the lovely Lyn sent me some to try out and review.
This product has literally changed my life.
The scrub is made with the finest ingredients; Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Ground Coffee, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Almond Oil, Vitamin E Oil and Vanilla Extract. It smells incredible, the scent really perks you up, and holy moley it makes your skin feel like silk.
The scrub is great because you don’t need to do much manual scrubbing for it to do it’s job. The ground coffee doesn’t break down quickly so you can just gently massage the mixture on to your body and the let it do it’s magic.
I recommend using it after you’ve washed with shower gel so that you don’t wash away the lovely oils in it, just let them soak into your skin.
I’ve been using Tigger’s Caffeinated Body Scrub for about a year now and it’s done wonders for me. I use it once a week, do a full body scrub, and now I don’t have dry flaky skin and my Keratosis Pilaris is 90% less visible, my arms just sorta look pink and blotchy, which is a million times better then red, angry and bumpy.
No scrubs compare to this now for me, I really can’t recommend it enough.
