I LOVE perfume, I have quite the collection and it just keeps growing. I’ve never understood how people can just wear one type of perfume, I change mine practically every day. I’m particularly fond of sweet, fruity or foodie smelling scents so when I discovered Sweet Potion Perfumes, it was like all of them were just made for me.
I was completely honored when the lovely Dash offered to send me some products to review.
Each of her perfumes are made with Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Essential Oils and Fine Fragrance. They are all Vegan, Phthalate-Free, Paraben-Free, Alcohol-Free and Cruelty-Free.
The first perfume I’ll be reviewing is Potion No.2 which combines dreamy notes of fluffy marshmallow, creamy milk chocolate, cherry cordial and a flirty twirl of delicious vanilla bean. YUM!
With this fragrance you get the rich chocolate aroma first, then the sweet, bright cherry cordial and the vanilla bean and fluffy marshmallow elements help blend those scents together and also add extra creaminess and sweetness to the perfume.
I have Blue Agava and Cacao by Jo Malone, which to me smells like just like chocolate and the chocolate element in Potion No.2 reminds me of that perfume. It’s almost like a powdery, cocoa element, It’s just delicious!
Perfume oils are meant to be worn close to the body on pulse points and are a unique experience as the scent blossoms over time with your body chemistry. I find that as I smell Potion No.2 throughout the day, I get the different notes individually; sometimes it’s a pure chocolate scent and then other times it’s a black cherry type fragrance, then sometimes it’s smells just like cake, all of which are great things to smell like!
Every time I wear this perfume, I always get compliments on it, especially from my chocoholic other half. It really lasts and lasts as well, I mean like all day and night.
Overall I’m so impressed with my first ever perfume oil, I love that they’re super concentrated and in small bottles so they’re easy for travelling.
I’ll definitely be buying more perfume oils, I want to do some mixology with them. Dash has also recently launched some new Halloween scents which just scream my name!
