Lollyrocket were super lovely to send me some products to review, I’ve already reviewed a couple of their wax tarts, you can read that review HERE, but I had two more to try out and I definitely think I saved the best for last…
Lollyrocket’s wax tarts are handmade using 100% natural soy wax and the finest fragrance oils.
Y’all know I love my apple scents so I squealed when I saw that they’d sent me a Caramel Apple Crunch wax melt. It’s scent is described “delicious, fresh Granny Smith apples with creamy, buttery caramel, dipped in crunchy toffee chips” YUMMY!
I loved this scent, it made me wanna make some apple crumble and then like eat it ALL! I found that the caramel element toned down the tartness of the apple scent and had I not read the description I would’ve assumed it was more of a sweeter apple fragrance, like a Gala apple or Golden Delicious.
The caramel element reminded me almost of a brulee, a sweet burnt sugar type scent. If you love dessert type fragrances then you’ll love this one, it’s quite a unique scent too.
I got about 12 hours of fragrance (three regular tealights) out of one half of this melt, which is super impressive, especially when used in a large open plan room.
The next scent that I tried out was Raspberry Pop, it’s described as “sweet raspberry and toasted coconut, with middle notes of buttercream frosting, and bottom notes of freshly baked yellow sponge cake – delicious!” How much of a Sam scent is that?! Plus look at that neon pink colour! It was so just made for me.
Raspberry Pop actually reminded me of a giant whipped vanilla ice cream cone covered in sweet raspberry syrup, like the kind you’d run after the ice cream man for when you were a kid…or when you’re 30… 😉
The first three Lollyrocket wax melts I had, I melted them in a burner with a tealight, so I decided to try this one in my electric warmer. I didn’t find the scent as strong at first but when it was fully melted I found that it was a steady fragrance throw that lasted days, as apposed to a super strong scent that eventually fades when used with a burner.
I think in future when I buy from Lollyrocket I’ll use my melts in a warmer, so I can have all their yummy scents for longer.
Stay tuned for more reviews but for now be sure to show Lollyrocket some love on Facebook, Twitter and on Instagram.
