Yankee Candle Summer Scents Reviews

I’ve weird feelings towards Yankee Candle, my last three Yankee large jar candles (the first I bought myself, the others were presents) burned amazingly well for like the first couple days (burning about a quarter of the wax) then after that, no scent at all and just a burning crappy wax smell, I was very disappointed. Don’t hate on me, I’m just being honest.

So I don’t buy the jar candles anymore, I just buy votives and tarts and usually only when new scents come out or I need my Soft Blanket fix.

Y’all know that I love love LOVE my fruity scents so I will admit that I got excited when I saw the five new Yankee Candle Summer scents, so I treated myself to a tart and votive in each scent.

Black Plum BlossomThe deliciously enticing nectar of beautiful black plum blossoms with hints of white musk and vanilla.

I had looked at a few other reviews online and out of all the new scents this seemed to have rated very poorly amongst candle fans, so I was quite unsure about it, but surprisingly this was the scent that I liked the most. It had the best throw, albeit not a super great throw, and was such a unique scent, I liked the sweetness of it and the hints of vanilla. Quite a romantic scent.

Orange Splash Like a burst of golden sunshine the bright, sparkling aroma of juicy, just picked oranges.

No complaints about this one at, it smells like yummy juicy oranges. Whats not to like eh?

Sweet AppleThe sugary sweet crispness of a perfectly ripe apple fresh from the orchard.

I’m still on my apple loving phase, so I was the most excited about this scent, but sadly I was so let down. It’s sorta apple scented, it’s sweet, kinda fruity, but not a apple-y has I had hoped. I’m just meh about Sweet Apple.

Citrus Tango Time to shake things up with this lively, playful melody of sunny oranges, lemon zest and grapefruit.

Margarita TimeThe fun never ends… it’s always happy hour with the casual, playful tang of fresh-squeezed lime in a classic margarita.

I’m gonna do these two together as they’re crazy similar, not that that’s a bad thing. Both are lovely citrus scents and perfect for Summer. Very bright and uplifting.
