Having NEVER tried them before, when the lovely folks at Colonial Candle contacted me about doing a review, I jumped at the chance.
I had a browse around their site, and it all just became one big online wishlist for me; not only did their candles look great but all the different scents sounded just heavenly.
I was over the moon (still am) when two AMAZING candles arrived at my door, from The Collection range.
These candles say “The Light of Luxury” on them and that’s just what they are, they ooze luxury.
The highly scented 16oz 3 wick candles come in fabulous thick oval shaped glass, in multiple colours. They are 25% soy blend wax candles with cotton wicks; the wax feels so soft and creamy.
Even the packaging is glamorous; I can see that so much thought and care has been put into the design of these candles; the sturdy packaging with the candle nested perfectly inside, the foam in the upper lid for added protection and the pearlescent detail on the box for added glamour.
The Collection has five scents:Â Ebonywood and Nectarine, White Jasmine and Freesia, Seagrass and Papyrus, Gardenia and Peony and Red Currant and Quince (that comes in a pretty pink glass.)
I was lucky to get to try Ebonywood and Nectarine and White Jasmine and Freesia; both smell insanely good, but loving all things fruity I have to say Ebonywood and Nectarine is my favourite and the lovely orange glass matches the cushions in my living room.
I’ve been burning White Jasmine and Freesia for a few hours now; how could I not?! I have to say it’s burning perfectly, it looks so glamorous and it smells beautiful.
Check out Colonial Candle for a massive selection of candles with gorgeous scents, but if you’re looking for a gift for someone or just want to treat yourself (you deserve it!) then go for something from The Collection…. fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!
UPDATE: (29/09/2012) When my White Jasmine and Freesia candle was all gone like yesterday, it lasted so many hours (I’ve basically been burning it since I got it) I cleaned out the fabulous thick glass holder and have now been using it on my dresser to hold all my make-up brushes, genius or what?!
I use to love Colonial Candles but havent bought any in forever. Might have to pick up a couple. xo
These candles are amazing, they make me feel so fancy! Their new autumn range looks lovely too.
